SISU TAROT

'Sisu' is a Finnish term with no direct English translation. It can be summarized as a Finnish way of being; of stoicism, stubborn will, and perseverance against all odds.

Sisu Tarot is an ongoing project by Victoria Kamila featuring 3D interpretations of all 78 cards from the Rider Waite tarot. It draws on esoteric themes of spirituality, portraying celestial imagery of sci-fi, alien worlds to offer guidance through the cosmos.

THE MOON

Illusions, fear, intuition, and the subconscious.

A subconscious state of mind shrouded in illusion or fear. The orbs depict a journey to the water, (which many cultures believe to be a psychic body for intuition) sourcing the insights that are found here back to the moon's guiding light.

THE SUN

Unfiltered, pure joy.

This card's interpretation of The Sun is based on the Hermetic Tarot's imagery, (seen above right) which centres friendship, love, or sisterhood as the source of happiness and fulfillment.

PAGE OF CUPS

Imagination, curiosity, and intuition.

The Rider Waite version of the Page of Cups depicts a page conversing with a fish in a cup. The fish symbolizes one of humankind's earliest evolutions and its connection to our most primal instincts. Sisu Tarot replaces the fish with the moon, advising that an innermost conversation with our intuition, anxieties, and emotions is in order.
